A certain level of mystique surrounds M&A for those that are not directly involved in the deal process. Although there is much information in the public regarding the announcement of M&A deals, restricted visibility exists into the art of deal making.  How does a deal actually get done, and why is it done that way?What is the investment banker’s role in the process, and why is that role important or even necessary?  How difficult is the process…and how do I know if the banker did a great job and that the deal was truly a success?  The purpose of this presentation is to address these common questions, and to walk the audience through the specific work of an M&A investment banker and the deal process.  In doing so, tangible insight will be gained into processes and procedures, while exploring the objectives, dynamics, and challenges that can arise.
