CHICAGO, IL / June 21, 2011 -- Stout Risius Ross (SRR), a financial advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Jay B. Wachowicz, CFA, as head of its Detroit office. Mr. Wachowicz, who has been a Managing Director in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group of SRR for several years, will take on the additional responsibility of leading the firm’s entire Detroit office. In his expanded role, Mr. Wachowicz will have an even greater ability to connect clients and referral sources with SRR’s extensive network of internal and external resources.

Mr. Wachowicz has extensive experience domestically and internationally in several financial advisory fields including valuation, litigation advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reorganizations and restructurings. Mr. Wachowicz joined the firm in 2002. Prior to SRR, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers / Standard and Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting.
Mr. Wachowicz holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Michigan State University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Detroit and the CFA Institute as well as the Appraisal Issues Task Force and has been a lecturer at the Michigan State University Broad Graduate School of Management.
